Rosemary essential oil is a colorless to light yellow volatile liquid obtained by steam distillation from rosemary flowers or young leaves. Its main components are α-pinene, camphor, verbenone, bornyl acetate, camphor, β-pinene, linalool, myrcene, borneol, limonene, 18-cineole, β-phellandrene, γ-terpinene, α-phellandrene, p-cymene, cis-β-ocimene, terpinene-4-ol, α-terpineol, pine carveol, α-terpinene, geraniol and cis-jasmone.
